I offer coaching and training plans for first timers to elite athletes and for any age group.

Although I am a certified USA Triathlon Level 1 Coach, my strongest areas of expertise are running and cycling due to my own experiences. For areas that I don't feel are my strongest, I have partnered with other colleagues to make sure that my athletes have all the right tools and resources available to them.

I've been a runner my entire life competing in track in grade school and high school and completing my first half marathon at the age of 13 as a "bandit" in the Mini Marathon. I first got interested in cycling at the age of 13 and participated in the Hilly Hundred when I was 14. Watching the Tour De France and the Ironman is what first got me interested in Multisport/Triathlon.

After not exercising at all in college, I decided to pick up running again in an effort to get back into shape. I started out slow, but eventually progressed to competing in my first marathon in Chicago in 1999. In 2001 I became aware of Duathlon and Triathlon events in Indianapolis. I borrowed my dads bike and competed in my first Duathlon that summer. It wasn't until 2004 when I first able to purchase my own road bike and began getting more serious about cycling again. In 2005 I finally taught myself how to swim and competed in my first Triathlon at Eagle Creek. Since then I've competed in all distances of triathlon and am currently training for my 3rd Ironman.

I used a coach in 2008 and 2009 to help me train for my first Half Ironman and full Ironman event. His guidance, inspiration and motivation was paramount to my success in those events. His impact on me is what motivated me to become a USA Triathlon Level 1 Coach. I want to be able to give back to other athletes and hopefully have a similar impact on others the way he did on me.
