Specialities: My specialization lies in swimming and helping you become more efficient in the water. I want to help develop a cleaner, faster more efficient stroke for you to use during your races so that you can have a better over-all race. I have an excellent base for training that I have collected over the past 16 years of both endurance training and sprint training.
Background: Scott Blanchard has coached competitive swimmers ranging in age from elementary school to the collegiate level, from Masters programs to triathletes, for the past 16 years. He has taken many swimmers, at both the Junior and Senior levels, to Nationals and NCAA's. He is currently a Certified Triathlon coach through ITCA (International Triathlon Coaching Association). Raised in New York, he swam competitively himself for 14 years, both in high school and for Susquehanna University, where he received a BA in History. He has also received a Master’s degree in Kinesiology from the University of Minnesota. He began his coaching career at Minneapolis Southwest High School and has served as the head Junior and Senior coach at Blackline Aquatics since 2005. Away from the pool he raises two young sons, rides his mountain and road bikes, and is currently training for a marathon.
