Liz is a USAT Level 1 coach, and has coached triathlon since
2004, both group and individuals, around the SF Bay Area. She coached 9 seasons with Team in Training, and is now the head coach for the Tri-Valley Triathlon Club based in Dublin, CA serving the Tri-Valley and Tri-City areas. www.trivalleytriclub.com She has coached individuals of all skill levels to
successful completions of , sprint and Olympic triathlons, and 1/2 and full Ironmans. Her strengths lie in
breaking down each skill to digestible pieces for athletes, and leading
group workouts. Her technical skills lie swimming at all levels of
skill, and running at everything up to elite runners, and beginner
cycling. Liz swam competitively through college, and has completed every distance of triathlon, including Ironman. Liz has taught and coached swimming for 18 years. She founded the Happy Fish
Swim
School in 1999, which now has indoor, year round locations in
Fremont and Livermore. She leads a management team of nine, writes the
curriculum, oversees the hiring, training and managing of staff, and
directs the company vision.
Liz has a Bachelor's in Kinesiology with emphasis in Exercise
Physiology and the Social Aspects of Sport, and a Masters in Sport
Management. She also holds a teaching credential, and taught seventh
grade English and history, and ninth grade PE.
