April Gellatly Burkey is a USAT Certified Level I Coach and professional triathlete. She has competed successfully at all triathlon distances from sprint to iron-distance, and is currently focusing on the 140.6 distance of triathlon. She comes from a swim background. She swam for Youngstown State University. With 10+ years of swim coaching experience, 10+ ironman finishes – a handful as a Pro, April brings a great deal of knowledge and first-hand experience to share with The Sport Factory athletes. April has a level of energy, enthusiasm, and passion for triathlon that is hard to match.
