This is an early season triathlon that is well suited as a training event for the seasoned triathlete as well as an entry level distance for those who are just deciding to plunge into their first event. It includes a youth event to introduce young triathletes to the sport of triathlon.

The event is centered on Greenvilles beautiful Baldwin Lake and features a unique spectator experience from an elevated viewpoint above the lake and transition area on and along the Fred Meijer Flat River Trail.

This is a small venue and the field is limited to 400 youth participants.

Course Information:

Swim:

The swim will start and end at Baldwin Lake beach and will follow a course around inflatable buoys. Baldwin Lake is a relatively shallow lake that is well suited for the early season. It generally warms quickly and is expected to be between 65 and 70 by Memorial Day. The U-15 course is a 200 meter loop and the U-10 course is 100 meters in shallow water, the length of the beach.

Bike (U-15)

The 3.75-mile U-15 bike course will follow some open, public roads, but also paved trail and roads closed to traffic. Traffic control and police assistance will be available on the open portions of the roadway. The terrain includes two short, modest climbs and descents, but is otherwise a generally level course.

Bike (U-10)

The 2.2-mile U-10 course will be one loop around Baldwin Lake on paved road that will be closed to traffic. The terrain is nearly level for the entire course.

Run (U-15)

The 2.2-mile run is a loop around Baldwin Lake on paved road that will be closed to traffic. The terrain is nearly level for the entire course. Spectators can view 12 mile of the run from across the lake.

Run (U-10)

The 1/2-mile run will be an out-and-back on flat, paved surface.
