2013 Deception Pass Challenge Triathlon:
- All proceeds support education and resource protection within Deception Pass State Park.
- Swim: 1/2 mile course in Cranberry Lake. Water temperature is typically between 55 and 60 degrees at this time of year (wetsuits recommended).
- Bike: Approximately 13 miles with a mixture of road and trails (mountain or cross bike highly recommended).
- Run: Approximately 4 mile run from West Beach, to the top of Goose Rock (elevation rise of 484 ft) and back to the start along North Beach.

800m swim, 18k bike, 6k run
Directions:
Race starts at West Beach in Deception Pass State Park.
- Take I-5 to Burlington, exit 230.
- Follow highway 20 west to Deception Pass Bridge.
- Cross bridge, go one mile south to park entrance.
- Follow signs to West Beach.
