A new addition to the Endurance Series for 2008. This will be the first open water swim triathlon of the year in North Carolina. Water temperatures at this time of the year range between 69 and 74 degrees due to the unique location Belews Lake. This will be a wetsuit legal event.

Course Information:

The swim course is a triangular-shaped course. Participants exit the water at the end of the boat launch and run about 100 yards to the transition area.

The bike course is a one loop course on smooth, rural country roads. The course has a few challenging hills.

The 5K run is an out & back course. The run consist of no major hills and provides a great view of Belews Lake.
