Tri on the Plains is a benefit to support the projects of the Sterling Lions Club.

Sprint Swim Course:
The 750 meter swimming leg is off the Elks boat ramp into a wakeless bay, with a water temperature in the mid-70’s.
The route will be marked with large orange buoys, and friendly kayakers to direct you.
The ramp will be covered with carpet to protect the athlete’s feet.
Sprint Bike Course:
The biking leg will take you onto rolling country roads, with stretches where you will be able to see the reservoir and you may be able to see wildlife on the route.
The entire biking leg is on paved surfaces.
Sprint Run Course:
The running leg progresses up a slight incline to a parking area then across the dam, before dropping down a small hill to the turnaround, then back across the dam to the finish line.
The entire running leg is on hard packed dirt road base except for the parking lot after the dam on the way out.
North Sterling Reservoir State Park
Take 7th Ave north to county road 46.
Left (west) on 46 to county road 330 turn right (north) to second entrance.
Park fees are included in the registration price.
