The Freeze Your Face-Off 5K run is an exciting afternoon run in January that challenges you to share the cold with the Oklahoma City Barons in support of mental health awareness. Your $30 entry fee includes the run, long-sleeve tech race shirt, medals to top three finishers in each age division, and a ticket to the Barons game!
The event, professionally timed by DG Productions, starts and ends at the Cox Convention Center. Computerized results will be posted regularly, and refreshments will be available in the Cox Center lobby. Changing stations will allow runners to slip into street clothes in time for 7:00 pm face-off between the Barons and Milwaukee Admirals.
Optional Mental Health Experience
Runners will have the option to participate in the Mental Health Experience Division. Three stations along the route will offer participants a chance to experience a mental illness simulation to raise awareness of what patients live with daily. Each station will add approximately one minute to the runner's finish time, and medals will be awarded separately for participants in this division.
