2014 Lost Trail Half Marathon & Hunter Todd Memorial 5K Run/Walk:
The Lost Trail Half Marathon is a scenic single track trail race along the shoreline of Folsom Lake with many scenic views.
The Hunter Todd Memorial 5K run/walk will honor a highly accomplished young athlete, 20 year old Hunter Jacob Todd, from Roseville, California. For many years (starting at age 5), Hunter was a participant and a sponsored racer for TBF. He overcame many obstacles to compete in mountain bike triathlons and trail run competitions at TBF events, not an easy task for an athlete born with a congenital heart defect. Hunter will always be remembered for his kind spirit and sense of humor.
Included with your race entry is a custom tech-tee race shirt, athlete goody bag, post race hot meal, raffle prizes and awards three-deep in each age group.
Divisions and Awards:
First place Overall Male and Female in The Lost Trail Half Marathon will receive Overall Champion Awards.
There will be awards three deep in each ten-year age group for The Lost Trail Half Marathon and the Hunter Todd Memorial 5K Run/Walk.
A $300 cash prize will be awarded to the fastest overall male and female in the 19 and under division in the Hunter Todd Memorial 5K Run.
Course Information:
The Lost Trail Half Marathon starts along the shore of Folsom Lake and after a short section on pavement begins climbing the small hills of the shoreline for an out and back course that veers once to a scenic point along the lake and returns up some short but steep hills, with aid stations spread every 2 miles along the course. There is a climb up Mooney Ridge on the way back to the finish line.
Aid Stations:
Aid stations will be located on the course at miles 1, 2.5, 3.5, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12 each serving cold water and electrolyte beverage.
Directions:
Granite Bay State Park on Folsom lake is located at the end of Douglas Blvd, 5-6 miles East of I-80. Turn right at the third stop sign after entering the park for the Granite Beach parking lot. There is a $12 vehicle charge for day-use or $125 for an annual pass. Contact phone 916 988 0205
