2014 Padden Triathlon:

The Padden Triathlon is an excellent first, second or twenty-second triathlon.

Our race course is simple, beautiful and well staffed.

In an effort to make this a race you'll enjoy year after year, we've made everything as simple as possible, so on race day you can focus on the event.

Our goal is to make the Padden Triathlon the best organized, most affordable, chip timed event you'll do all summer.

Start your triathlon season here in Bellingham.

Course Information:

Swim:

The swim starts from the swim area at Lake Padden.

Across and back (12 mile) is the competitive distance.

Halfway and back (14 mile) is the Recreational distance.

The event is chip timed by Perfect Time Events and will start in waves of approximately 50.

Bike:

The bike is hilly on paved city and county roads.

The course is well marked with chalk, there will also be volunteers on the course directing traffic and racers alike. Helmets are required.

Participants are encouraged to become familiar with the course beforehand.

Run:

The run is one or two counter-clockwise laps around Lake Padden.

The half flat, half rolling hill limestone path is on relatively joint friendly crushed limestone.
