Aarons Race and Roll a 5k, 1k race for ALL people and All abilities! This Race is open to all kids and adults of ALL abilities to be able to Run this race, or Roll in this race wheelchairs and crutches included! The heart of this race was born in the heart of Aaron Gigley - a 16 year old who has had more than his share of struggles. He wanted people of all abilities to be able to experience and feel the sense of accomplishment that he felt at his first and only race -- He came in Last - but HE FINISHED! We will have able bodied volunteers present to help everyone to finish, but this race will also be TIMED for the Elite Athlete as well!
ALL PROCEEDS will go to - ManeGait, whose goal in life is to stretch boundaries and give these gifted people that sense of joy at accomplishment through therapeutic horsemanship. And to, Especially Needed, an organization who desires to build strong community where individuals with special needs are valued, respected and included.
WE NEED YOU TO RUN THIS RACE! Aaron's goal is to raise $10000.00 for ManeGait - to give back in his small way to all of the surgeons, volunteers and people who have helped him throughout his life. All other Monies raised will go to Especially Needed at especiallyneeded.org.
