MEDS stands for Medical Education through Diversity and Service. It is a campus organization of medical and pharmacy students at the University of Minnesota - Duluth dedicated to improving global health. Every year students in the program travel all over the world to gain eye-opening medical experiences. Our goal is to develop a deeper understanding of the driving forces behind global health.
The GlobeTrotter 5k is a fundraising event to offset costs for students traveling abroad. All proceeds from the run will go directly toward funding these global opportunities.
The race is held at Bagley Park, a beautiful area just North of the University of Minnesota -Duluth campus with many wooded trails. It should be an enjoyable event for running enthusiasts and anyone who wants to get out and enjoy the outdoors.
Course Information:
The course will be approximately 5 kilometers and will be mostly in the forest trails of Bagley Park. There may be a small amount of road running involved.
