Please join The Nick and Full Moon Paddleboard for The Fourth Annual Chunky Dunk Duathlon combined with The 2nd Annual Moona Loona Stand Up Paddle Classic on Saturday July 26, 2013 at Albee Beach.
Race options:
.5-mile swim and 5k run Duathlon - Individual
.5-mile swim and 5k run Duathlon - Team
Age Groups: 14-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69,70+
2.5-4.5-mile stand up paddle - Recreational board 12' + under
2.5-4.5-mile stand up paddle - Race board 12'6 - 14'
1-mile stand up paddle - Ages 8 - 13 years
THE COURSE
SWIM: 1/2 mile swim from Albee Beach in Lake Wentworth. The swim will start in waves every three minutes. First wave starting at 8:30a.m. followed by heats 5 minutes apart. Swim caps and goggles recommended. No Wet suits allowed.
RUN: 5k run through the scenic woodland trials also known as The Bridge Falls Path. The run will head south on the path and have a turn around point 1.55 miles out.
All proceeds go directly to The Wolfeboro Area Recreation Association a non-profit formed to plan, construct and oversee facilities that provide recreational opportunities for both children and adults designed to enhance the quality of life and emphasize community values for all in the Lakes Region of New Hampshire.
Directions from South Main Street, down town Wolfeboro:
Start going east on South Main St/Rt. 109
Turn left onto Rt. 28/Center Street
Turn slight right to stay on Rt. 28/Center Street for 1.6 miles
Turn left onto Trotting Track Road
The Nick is your first left after the skate park
Directions from Ossipee NH:
Heading southeast on Rt. 16/White Mountain Highway
Turn right onto Rt. 28/Suncook Valley Road for 8.3 miles
Turn right onto Trotting Track Road
The Nick is your first left after the skate park
Directions from Alton NH:
Heading north on Rt-11North, Rt. 11North becomes Rt. 28
Turn left onto South Main Street/Rt. 28 follow for 2.3 miles
Turn right onto Rt. 28/Center Street
Turn slight right to stay on Rt. 28/Center Street for 1.6 miles
Turn left onto Trotting Track Road
