Quality T-shirt and finisher medals to the first 400 registered runners. Post-race refreshments and prize raffle. Plaque and complimentary entry to 2014s race will be given to the first overall man and woman in each race. Medals will be given to the top 3 in each of 13 age divisions in the half marathon in 5 year age categories. Medals to the top 3 in each of the 10 age divisions in the 5K. Medal also given to the first male/female under 9 in the 5K and under 14 in the half marathon.
Course Information:
Both races will start and finish near the boat marina at Lake Chabot. Both events will use chip timing.
Half Marathon:
A challenging, hilly loop around scenic Lake Chabot. Course contains paved and dirt fire roads. This loop heads east from the marina and loops around the lake and fire trails before returning along the west shore. There are five aid stations and a 3.5 hour time limit. Carrying water is advisable.
5K:
From Marina, on paved road to dam and back with one aid station. This race starts near the marina and runs out and back along the west shore of the lake.

Note: Lake Chabot charges a nominal fee (~$5) to park at the inside lot. Street parking is available for free on Lake Chabot Rd.
