So you want to race with a friend in a canoe? That's fine by us! Just sign up as "Two People - Tri It at the Occoquan (You have your Own Canoe - Not a Relay)" or if there's three of you "Three People - Tri It at the Occoquan (You have your Own Canoe - Not a Relay)."
Don't have a kayak or canoe? You can try renting one from our limited supply (only available for pre-registration).
Personal Floating Devices (PFDs) are required during the race. Athletes are suggested to have a whistle as well in case of an accident.
Triathlon - 8am
Duathlon - 8:05am
The kayak/canoe section of the course is about 3/4 of a mile. The bike is 3 laps equally out to just under 9 miles; followed by a 5k run. Or if you're doing the duathlon, replace the kayak/canoe section with another 5k run.

Don't want to wait in a long line on race morning? Packet Pickup will be at Road Runner Sports on Saturday, April 12th from 12-2pm. Road Runner Sports is located at 1120 West Broad Street, Falls Church, VA 22046.
Race Day Registration
There will be race day registration. Participants will need to arrive about 45 minutes before their race to get registered for the event. T-shirts sizes can not be guaranteed for race day registers. CASH OR CHECK ONLY (checks made out to Bishop's Events, LLC).
Parking is at the big gravel parking lot before the Start/Finish Line near the baseball fields in the very back of Occoquan Regional Park.
Chip Timing will be done by Race Packet.
Swim will be replaced by a kayak or a canoe. Athletes can kayak by themselves or canoe with a friend for this segment of the race on the Occoquan River.
Ages 10 through 100 can compete in this event. All athletes 17 & under must purchase a YOUTH ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP ($10) at www.usatriathlon.org (and then register for this race as USAT Annual Members).
*No Refunds after February 1, 2014
