2014 Running With An Angel:
The second annual Running With An Angel Samantha Porter 5k will take place on Saturday, March 8, 2014. All proceeds from this event will go to the Samantha Elisabeth Porter Memorial Scholarship. The Samantha Elisabeth Porter Memorial Scholarship was established to honor the memory of Samantha Elisabeth Porter, a 17 year old senior of North Daviess High School who was called to Heaven on her way home from the football senior night festivities at school on September 28, 2012. Samantha was a very active girl who participated in a variety of sports and extracurricular activities. She had a very giving heart and enjoyed life to the fullest. She valued education and was planning on going to college to become a physician. The family of Samantha Elisabeth Porter established the scholarship program in her name so that other students could receive assistance in pursuing their dreams in a post secondary educational program.
