2014 Memorial Day Veteran 10k & 5k "It's Our Turn":
The 10K and 5K runs will showcase the waterfront of Punta Gorda.
If youre more into walking, join us for the Honor Mile Walk and donate a canned good for our Homeless Veterans!
Proceeds for this event will support the Homeless Veterans of Charlotte County.
The Florida Warbirds will be doing a flyover to start the events.
The races will end at Fishermen's Village where later that morning participants and their families can enjoy an antique car show and a visit to the shops and restaurants at Fishermen's Village including the Military Heritage Museum.
Course Information:
Both the 10k and 5k will be flat out and back courses thru downtown Punta Gorda.
The races start on W Retta Esplanade just outside of Fishermen's Village.
They go along Punta Gorda's Harbor Walk and return to finish at Fishermen's Village.
Directions:
The entrance to Fishermen's Village is on Marion Avenue 1 mile west of U.S. 41 in downtown Punta Gorda.
From I-75 take Punta Gorda exit 164.
Turn left onto U.S. 17 (Marion Avenue).
Proceed 3 miles to Fishermen's Village.
