2014 Pirate Triathlon at Point Sebago Resort:

  • The Pirate Tri is a fun, adult triathlon that takes place at Point Sebago Resort each June.
  • It derives its name and theme from "Pirate's Weekend" at the Resort, and features Pirate sounds, sights, costumes, even a pirate ship!
  • With a beach, playground, kids activities and snack bar at the venue, the Pirate Tri is a great event for the whole family!
  • Course Information:

    Swim:
A triangular course in beautiful Sebago Lake. Average water temperature is in the mid 60s at that time of the year. There will even be a pirate ship on the course!

    Bike:
A lollipop course with varied terrain, including two climbs, on low traffic country roads. Enjoy views of Mount Washington and Sebago Lake. There are no aid stations, but there will be lead and sweep vehicles.

    Run:
An out-and-back course through the resort, slightly uphill on the way out and downhill on the way back. There will be aid stations approximately every 1 mile.

    Finish:
The Pirate Tri finishes along the waterfront, between the lake and the lagoon. It is a short walk from the transition area and provides spectacular views of Sebago. There is a large tent set up for the post-race festivities, which will take place regardless  of the weather.
