2014 Longleaf Triathlon & Duathlon:

International Distance:
Time trial start.
This race was the regional club championship for 2012 and 2013.
A well organized fund raising event.
Produced by the Rotary Club of Seven Springs, with the help of 200+ volunteers.
All proceeds go to local charities, including YMCA and Metropolitan Ministries.

Course Information:

Swim:
The Swim portion of the race happens in a pristine natural lake on the Starkey Family Ranch.
Since it is an October Race, there is a chance the race will be legal for wetsuits.

Bike:
The bike portion happens in the Starkey Wilderness Park.
The International Distance finishes on a long straightaway along SR 54.
We close a entire lane on SR 54 for your safety!

Run:
The run portion winds through the quaint Town of Longleaf.
The race is in a rural setting.
This means minimal encounters with CARS!
Experienced and Novices alike can concentrate on racing and not traffic.

Directions:

From Pinellas County Drive up US 19 to SR 54. Turn East and proceed past Little Road (Walmart on left) to the next light, which will be Starkey Blvd. You will see a large Longleaf sign at the corner. Turn left onto Starkey Blvd. Race day parking is on your immediate left.

From Tampa Take the Suncoast Parkway to the SR 54 exit and turn left. Starkey Blvd is approximately 6.5 miles west and you will make a right hand turn at the Starkey Blvd light and an immediately left into the parking area.

From Gainesville South on I-75 to SR56, turn west. SR56 will merge into SR54 westbound. Take SR54 to Suncoast Parkway and follow the instructions above to Longleaf.

We also offer relay teams an opportunity to participate.

With over 150 volunteers from the The Rotary Club of Seven Springs, we strive to make this a very enjoyable event.

The residents of Longleaf have breakfast parties on their front porches and cheer on the runners.

At the finish line all athletes recieve a finishing medal and we host food and beverages for their benefit.

As a side bar, all the monies raised from entry fees and sponsorships go to the charitable efforts of the Seven Springs Rotary Club, locally and internationally.
