2014 Riverman/Riverwoman Sprint Triathlon:
Where the Missouri River meets the rolling plains is the picturesque setting for the Riverman/Riverwoman Sprint Triathlon competition, which will take place Saturday, August 2, 2014. The competition will be divided into several divisions with separate classes for men, women & teams. Teams will compete as a group. Mens' & womens' individual classes will be divided into the following age groups:
-19 & under
-20-29
-30-39
-40-49
-50-59
-60 and older
Medals will be awarded to the top three finishers in each division.
Course Information:
Event breakdown of sprint triathlon competition is as follows:
-Swim: .4 miles beginning at the shore of the swim beach, across to the island and back
-Bike: 18 miles through the park and along SD Hwy 34
-Run: 3.5 miles through the park and on the island trail
For safety reasons, brightly colored skullcaps and bicycle helmets are required.
