Walk Me Home is a fundraiser to build awareness of the needs of foster children. This event is sponsored by Child & Family Services of Northeast Michigan, National Foster Parent Association and Alpena County DHS.
There are currently about 14000 foster children in Michigan, and more than 3500 of these are waiting to be adopted. There are many ways to help these children: becoming foster or adoptive parents, providing camp scholarships, mentoring, gift certificates for groceries, restaurants, clothing, and so much more. Help raise awareness for our children and be part of Walk Me Home.

Course Information:
The course will be around beautiful Duck Park.
Directions:
From the South: Come north on US 23. US 23 is Chisholm Street in Alpena, Follow 23/Chisholm through downtown Alpena, the road will curve to the left. About a mile further, the Alpena Regional Medical Center is on the right, and the light just beyond it is Long Rapids Road. Turn left on Long Rapids Road, and immediately turn left into Duck Park.
From the North: Come south on US 23. Coming into Alpena, you will pass several car dealerships. The first light is Long Rapids Rd. Turn right on Long Rapids and immediately turn left into Duck Park.
From the West: Travel east on Rt 32 to Alpena. Coming into Alpena, you will pass Home Depot. The first light is Bagley St. Turn left on North Bagley and travel about 1 mile to the light. This light is Long Rapids Rd. Turn right on Long Rapids and travel about 1/2 mile. Duck Park will be on your right, just before the light at Chisholm St.
