    Other Info:

  • Yes, even the family dog can get inolved in the BAM weekend. There will be a special Doggie "Doo"athlon category in the BAM-X Off-Road Duathlon, where athletes can compete with their dogs.
  • The dogs will have a timing chip put on them before the start of the first run, and will compete in that portion of the race.
  • After the first run, the dogs will be handed over to a human handler (each athlete is required to supply their own handler) in the transition area for keeping while athletes do the bike portion of the race.
  • Upon returning from the bike portion, athletes will enter the transition area and re-rack their bikes. Their canine competitors will then be picked back up from the holding area in transition and head back out on their 2nd run portion with their owners.
  • The chip will be transfered back over to the dog so that your overall time is based off of when you and Fido cross the finish line.
  • All dogs MUST be on a leash at all times during the race, we also ask that owners be kind enough to clean up after their dogs while in the expo & finish line area.
