2011 YMCA Colonial Beach Sprint Triathlon:

  • The Colonial Beach Triathlon Festival consist of 2 great events set in scenic Colonial Beach.
  • While this race is new to the VTS, 2011 will make the 27th year for these races.

    • Course Information:


  • The swim starts out with a 1 loop 700 meter swim in the Potomac river.
  • This is then followed by a mostly flat 14 mile bike course through mostly rural countryside.
  • Upon your return to the beach athletes will embark on a flat, fast out and back 5K course.

    • Other Info:


  • Athletes will then be treated to a post race feast and can spend the day in Colonial Beach or the surrounding area.
  • We hope you all enjoy this great new addition to the VTS.
