  • Alaskas only Olympic-distance triathlon, the Northern Trust takes place in the rolling hills around Knik, Alaska.

    Course Information:

  • The course consists of a 1500-M swim in Knik Lake,
  • a 40-K bike,
  • and a 10-K run.

  • The duathlon features an initial 5-k run leg designed to bring duathletes back to the transition area about the same time as the triathletes exit the water.

    Directions:

  • From Anchorage, take the Glenn Hwy north to Wasilla.
  • From Wasilla, take S. Knik-Goosbay road south for approximately 13 miles to the Knik Bar on the shore of Kink Lake.
  • Park in the Knik Bar parking lot.
    • [LI]Dont follow the Google driving directions; simply stay on Knik-Goosebay Road.
