2012 Ironman Coeur d'Alene:
It's said they like to hold Ironman races at destination spots, this would make Coeur d'Alene Idaho a prime contender for a race!
Named after the Coeur d'Alene Indian tribe, this former logging and lumber town boasts a population of 50,000, 150 restaurants, and enough outdoor activities to keep anyone busy for a very long time.
Ironman Coeur d'Alene will serve as one of the worldwide qualifying events for the 2012 Ironman World Championship in Kona, HI.
Ironman Foundation Slots1Slots will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis and will each cost $1,200.00 USD, which includes athlete registration and a $600.00 tax-deductible donation to The Ironman Foundation, Inc., a not-for-profit organization.
One hundred percent of all donations made to The Ironman Foundation, Inc. will be distributed to various local organizations and charities based in Coeur d'Alene.
Deferments and/or transfers are NOT permitted.

Course Info:

Athletes will start off with a two-loop swim in beautiful Lake Coeur d’Alene.
The bike course takes athletes through rural northern Idaho.
The run course, known for its spectator support, is the highlight of the race.
