2011 Escape to Miami Triathlon:
This Olympic distance triathlon boasts one of the most inspiring and unique courses in Florida.
The race will truly be a challenge as triathletes will need to complete the mission to Escape to Miami from an island on Biscayne Bay.

The .9 Mile/ 1.4 K Swim starts on Escape Island and heads back to Miami in the open waters of Biscayne Bay near American Airlines Arena. Land ashore at Margaret Pace Park and head to the transition as hundreds of fans cheer you on.
The 24.9 Mile/ 40 K Bike takes you over the ocean on a straightaway into Miami Beach. The two lap course provides you with a challenge as you climb two causeways while remaining within view of Escape Island. Ride through Miami’s revamped Arts District and past some of Miami Beach’s well known mansions.
The 6.2 Mile/ 10 K Run takes you over the MacArthur Causeway, running along massive cruise ships and mansions as you finish the final leg of the race in Downtown Miami. As you complete your run over the bridge, you will have one last glimpse of where it all started, Escape Island.
