Well worth it!! I did this as my first triathlon & did the Sprint course. Though I was absolutely dismal in the swim, I hit both the bike & run hard. Don't read this the wrong way - the swim is NOT hard, it's easy, I just am a wreck of a swimmer. The lake is really truly, the nicest, freshest, clearest water imaginable, and the setting is amazing. Mountains on both sides of the lake, and the race takes place on the grounds of an old Shaker village. The Sprint bike was practically a full on climb the whole way out, but it made coming back a breeze. Casey & co were on top of everything & really put in the thought & effort required to make this a great event.
