2012 Columbia Triathlon:
Welcome to The 29th Columbia Triathlon, TriColumbia's hallmark event and one of the most challenging and longest running triathlons in the USA. Attracting world-class pros and amateurs from across the country and across the world, this widely acclaimed Olympic distance race had its beginnings in 1984 when 90 triathlon enthusiasts competed.
In 2011, The Columbia Triathlon once again provided the triathlon community with an event to remember. The weather was beautiful, and set the stage for a record breaking race.
Twenty two professional triathletes competed for the $30,000 prize purse, including 2-time Ironman World Champion, Tim DeBoom. 2010 Columbia Triathlon Defending Champion, Andrew Yoder, took the title again, as he broke both the course and bike records, finishing with a time of 1:49:51.
James Cunnama came in 2nd followed by Richie Cunningham.
