2012 Tri If You Dare Kids Triathlon:
Join the City of Seminole Recreation Department and Triathlete/Race Director Jim Sheets for the 7th Annual event for ages 5-15 (USA Triathlon age is determined the age the athlete on December 31, 2012).
Particpants will recieve an event t-shirt, finishers medal, and post race pool party.
All triathletes must have their bikes in transition area by 7:00 am.
Once the races start, parents will not be allowed in transition, volunteers will be available to assist your triathletes during the event.
Awards will be given to the top 5 boys and girls at each age level (5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, and 15 years old). In addition, awards will be given to the top boy & girl in each of the following USAT age groups (5-6, 7-8, 9-10, 11-12, and 13-15).
Awards celebration party will take place poolside beginning at 10:00 am and include music, and refreshemnts.
Athletes and their families are invited to join us for a refreshing swim during and after the awards celebration

Course Info:

Ages 5 - 6: run ΒΌ mile, bike 1 mile, swim 25 yards
Ages 7 - 10: run 1 km, bike 2.6 miles, swim 100 yards
Ages 11-15: run 1.2 miles, bike 3.9 miles, swim 150 yards
This unique reverse order Triathlon takes place on a totally closed course that is very parent friendly.
Run will be on beautiful recreation center soccer fields, bike through pristine Seminole Community Library and St. Petersburg College Campus and finish in the Junior Olympic Seminole Recreation swimming pool.
