Not sure why this tri is so popular. A lot of small things make it a big pain. The lack of a same day packet pickup is a labor. Not everyone likes to drive 90 minute round trips two days in a row becuase the running store that sponsored the event wants to generate traffic. This lake is really not for swimming, really shallow, extra stinky. Good bike route, guarded intersections. Good run. The finish/transitions are packed with spectators and volunteers were'nt able to keep all the loolygaggers off the course. nothing like almost running over a little kid sitting in the middle of the route. Would not do again. to many other better done races around.
