2012 Padden Triathlon:
Sure to become a staple of your annual triathlon diet.
The bike transition will be in the front part of the West parking lot near the bathhouse.
Because the event is chip timed there is a defined entrance and exit to the transition area. Please follow volunteer instructions when entering and exiting.
Non-participants must stay out of the transition area at all times.
For safety reasons participants must stay off their bikes in the transition area.
The swim starts from the swim area at Lake Padden.
Across and back (½ mile) is the competitive distance.
Halfway and back (¼ mile) is the Recreational distance.
The event is chip timed by Perfect Time Events and will start in waves of approximately 50.
The bike is hilly on paved city and county roads.
The course is well marked with chalk, there will also be volunteers on the course directing traffic and racers alike. Helmets are required.
Participants are encouraged to become familiar with the course beforehand.
The run is one or two counter-clockwise laps around Lake Padden.
The half flat, half rolling hill limestone path is on relatively joint friendly crushed limestone.
