Description:

2012 Chippewa Challenge Indoor Triathlon:

  • Whether you are a veteran triathlete or a first-time participant, the Triathlon Club invites you to CMU's SECOND EVER indoor triathlon!
  • It is a perfect race for athletes of all abilities who are looking to challenge themselves.
  • Not only will you be able to challenge your own limits and have a lifetime of bragging rights, but you will also be helping the Triathlon Club at CMU raise money to compete for their second time at the USAT Collegiate National Championship race this April in Tuscaloosa, Alabama!

  • Course Info:
    You will need to sign up for one of seven "waves," which all start in increments of 25 minutes apart, from 8:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.

    A maximum of 12 participants will be allowed in each wave. If you are late for your wave, we will be forced to start without you. Participants must be on time for their their start time.

    The format of the race is as follows:
  • 20 minute swim, swimming as many laps as possible.
  • 5 minute transition period
  • 20 minute ride on a stationary bike, biking as many miles as possible
  • 5 minute transition period
  • 20 minute run, completing as many laps around the track as possible
  • FINISH!

    Our volunteers will be in charge of keeping track of all your distances.
    Then, each distance will be put into a program which will weigh the three disciplines accordingly and determine the finishing places.

  • Awards will also be given to top age group finishers!

    Registration:
  • PLEASE REGISTER EARLY and you will be guaranteed an event finisher's t-shirt included in your race fee!
  • There are no guarantees for t-shirts on race day if you sign up after February 21st at 4:00 p.m.
  • Also, if you register anytime after February 13th, the price will increase to $35.00, so reserve your spot now!
  • Race day registration price increases again to $40 (if additional spots are still available) and will take place from 7:00-7:30 a.m. on race day.
