In 1870 the first Missouri, Kansas and Texas train rolled into a new town in southeast Kansas. The town would become Parsons, Kansas and the railroad would be remembered as the Katy.
One hundred thirty-eight years later, our community celebrates its railroad heritage and town history with the eighth annual Katy Days Festival. Its Kansas only railroad-themed festival.

The course is flat and fast.
The Duathlon will consist of a 5K run, 20-mile bike and finish with a 5K run

Parsons is located in Southeast Kansas, 2 hours from either Kansas City, Wichita, Tulsa or Springfield.
Parsons is located right at the intersection of HWY 400 and HWY 59.

The race will go rain or shine, only lightning or severe weather will cancel the race.
