In 1870 the first Missouri, Kansas and Texas train rolled into a new town in southeast Kansas. The town would become Parsons, Kansas and the railroad would be remembered as the Katy.
One hundred thirty-eight years later, our community celebrates its railroad heritage and town history with the eighth annual Katy Days Festival. Its Kansas only railroad-themed festival. |

The Duathlon will consist of a 5K run, 20-mile bike and finish with a 5K run |

Parsons is located in Southeast Kansas, 2 hours from either Kansas City, Wichita, Tulsa or Springfield.
Parsons is located right at the intersection of HWY 400 and HWY 59. |

The race will go rain or shine, only lightning or severe weather will cancel the race.
