About the 22nd Annual Ashland Metro West Triathlon
This long running olympic distance triathlon is a favorite for athletes new to the olympic distance as well as experienced triathletes. It's an event that combines scenic race courses, varied terrain, enthusiastic volunteers, and a convenient location. Plus it is put on by the most experienced race production company in the sport's history.

The Race Course
The swim takes place in a placid reservoir surrounded by a pretty forest. Many participants say it is one of the prettiest open water swims around. The bike course is two loops on a course through Hopkinton and Ashland with some nice hills, and includes a section on the famous Boston Marathon course. (The town of Ashland was where the original Boston Marathon had started). The run is an out and back course along scenic roads and rolling terrain.

Directions
Set in a convenient location midway between Boston and Worcester, Ashland is easily accessed by the Mass Pike and route 495. And there is plenty of parking at the race venue.
