About the 15th Annual Old Colony YMCA Triathlon
This Olympic distance event offers a wonderful course for first timers and experienced triathletes as well. The swim is in a quiet pond. The bike and run courses are flat and fast (or flat and slow if you just want to savor every moment of the race). And the volunteers are fun and enthusiastic. Plus the race is managed by F.I.R.M., the largest race production company in the Northeast.

The Race Course
Swimmers do two loops of the swim course in Tispaquin Pond, a pretty setting for the start of the race. Then it's on to the bike course where cyclists complete four laps (which means you really get to know the route). Flat roads the entire way. The final segment is the run which is a single loop of the bike course done counter-clockwise. Then it's under the giant F.I.R.M. finish arch and on to the post race festivities.
