Description:
|
This is the 15th year for the YMCA Clough Triathlon. Our motto is "Be Tough, Tri Clough". Why? Because the swim is longer, the hills on the bike course are tougher and maybe just a small hill on the run. But when you're done, you'll say oh yeah, I am tough! Great season ending race or a great training day for the new Sunapee Half Iron distance two weeks after our race.
Youth race will be two different lengths.
Kids will stay in the park and be monitored the whole time. Check back for more details at a later time.

Course Info:

The swim is 1/2 mile long (and this year we'll avoid the sun), a 14 mile bike up out of the park (top of the driveway now fixed) and a small 3.1 mile run that is mostly flat.
After you finish the swim you have a 400 yard run to the transition area. Once on your bike, it's time to be tough. Climb out of the park and off you go to climb more hills through Weare, Dunbarton and Goffstown. After the hills have burnt out your legs, you'll enjoy some nice down hills and then plenty of flat road until you get to the last uphill climb back to the park.
Jump off your bike and off you go to semi flat run. You only have one major hill to climb and it's the same last hill you climbed while on the bike. Once you finish climbing the hill, you go across the dam for a scenic run looking over Everette Dam. Turn around at the gazebo and back to the finish to cross the finish line!
