2012 The Point Adventure Race:
Graffiti Racing is bringing adventure racing back to the Wasatch FrontThe Point Adventure Race is multi-sport endurance event using mountain bikes, running/trekking, paddling, and navigation using a map and compass to attain check points. The Point will be a multi-city race using urban paved trails and wilderness trails to travel a course covering approximately 40-100 miles in a 4-24 hour period. Graffiti Racing will give participants a "Mt. Everest" sense of accomplishment by challenging participants to think "Out-of-Bounds" of the typical endurance race.

- Distances/Disciplines
- Sprint - 4 hours - No Relay Teams Allowed This is the perfect entry level course with a sample of each discipline in mild terrain.
- 15-25 mile bike - paved trails and roads
- 5-10 mile run - paved and dirt trails
- 3 mile canoe - Class I water - swift currents, minor obstacles and navigation.
- Orienteering/Navigation - coordinate plotting (UTM), basic understanding of map reading and some off trail use
- Cerebral Challenge
- Sport - 12 hour The Sport course is perfect for all abilities. It combines basic level adventure racing skills with advanced level skills. Teams will be able to determine level of difficulty by check point selection. Some check points are easy and others will require good navigation and map reading skills. For those who are fearful of 12 hours of racing, sign up for the Relay category.
- 40-55 miles bike - paved trails/roads, dirt roads, single track
- 15-20 mile trek/run - paved trails, dirt trails, and off trail use.
- 5 mile canoe with 1 plus mile boat portage - Class I water - swift currents, minor obstacles and navigation.
- Orienteering/Navigation - Coordinate plotting (UTM), Rogaine navigation, Topo map reading skills (no GPS).
- Cerebral Challenge
- Adventure - 24 hours The adventure course is also perfect for all abilities, it too has basic and advanced check points. And remember the SOUL of adventure racing is the extreme endurance, even if you are on a RELAY team you will still have a SOUL experience.
- 60-70 miles bike - paved trails/roads, dirt roads, single track
- 25-35 miles trek/run - paved trails, dirt trails, and off trail use.
- 10 mile canoe with 1 mile plus boat portage - Class I - swift currents, minor obstacles, and navigation.
- Orienteering/Navigation - Coordinate plotting (UTM), Rogaine navigation, Topo map reading skills (no GPS).

- Registration after May 30th is an additional $25
