What is Camp Courageous of Iowa?
Camp Courageous of Iowa is a year-round respite care and recreational facility for individuals of all ages with disabilities. The camp was established in 1972 with the first 211 campers attending in the summer of 1974. Today, Camp Courageous serves nearly 6,000 individuals with disabilities are served in a year-round program.

When and Where will the 2012 Camp Courageous Sprint Triathlon be held?
This years event will start at 8:00 AM on Sunday, August 5, 2012. This year, the entire event will be at Camp Courageous (Central Park will NOT be used).
Course Information:
NEW SWIM & BIKE COURSE! 1 TRANSITION AREA!
SWIM - 300 meters Due to the lack of rain in Iowa this year, we are going to be changing our swim from a lake swim to a pool swim. - Distance will be 300 meters.
BIKE - 15.5 miles the 2012 course will change from 2011 to a 15.5 mile out-and-back route. Bikers will depart from Camp Courageous to Highway 38, South to Scotch Grove, turn east on to County Road E17 and go out to a turn-around point. Bikers will then go back to Camp Courageous on the same route.
RUN-4K the run will be a 4K route that will be similar to the 2011 route. It includes going through Pictured Rocks Camp, Pictured Rocks State Park, and then through and finishing at Camp Courageous.
