DATES AND TIME: Adult Olympic Distance Race Sunday, September 16 8:00am
1500 meter swim 26.5 mi. bike 10K run Adult and Junior Super Sprint Race Sunday, September 16 approximately 8:30am - 200 meter swim 4 mile bike 1 mile run Check-in - 6:00-7:30am (At picnic shelter next to transition area) Mandatory Pre-race meeting for both races - 7:45 a.m. Race begins at 8:00 a.m. with the Championship heat, followed every 3 minutes by age group waves. Transition area will be closed at 8:00 a.m. Super Sprint Race will start at approximately 8:30am or when all Olympic race swimmers are out on the bike.

Directions to Branched Oak Lake; 15 miles northwest of Lincoln and three miles north of Malcolm. The entrance is on NW 140th Street, and enters Liebers Point on West Branched Oak Road. Park Permits are required! Buy a daily Park permit for $4.00 at;

REGISTER FEE:
Olympic Triathlon entry fee is $75 per person and $75 per team. Super Sprint Race entry fee is $45 and $45 per team, includes one day USA Triathlon insurance. Late fee will be charged for all entries registered on September 1-12, $100.00 for Olympic Individual and Team, and $70.00 for Super Sprint Individual and team. After the 12th the late fee will be $125 for Olympic and $95 for Super Sprint, and you will only be able to register at Packet Pick-up on Saturday the 17th from 11am-2pm at the Cycle Works at 27th & Vine St. Upon verification of your USAT annual membership you will be refunded $10 if you are a current 2012 annual member of USA Triathlon. Please list your USAT membership # on the registration form. You must also read the USAT waiver and initial agreement on the registration page.
AWARDS:
Age groups will consist of 14 & under (Super Sprint only),19 & under, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34 to 85 & over in five year increments for both male and female; and Championship heat in the Olympic race only for Male & Female Top Three.
Team Competition Olympic Race - 89 & under, 90 & over in Mixed, Female, and Male categories. Super Sprint Race 45 & under, 46-89, 90 & over in Mixed, Female, and Male categories.
FINAL ENTRY DEADLINE:
Registrations must be received by Wednesday, September 12 ay 6:00pm or at Packet Pick-up on September 15th from 11am-2pm at the Cycle Works at 27th & Vine St.

COMPETITION FORMAT:
Chip timing will be used in all races. Olympic Race swim leg is a triangle counterclockwise 1.5 kilometer swim starting from the main south beach on Liebers Point and will be lined with support craft. Swim warm-up will only be allowed before the
pre-race meeting, no warm-ups allowed before the start of each wave. The cycling leg is
a 40 kilometer bike around Branched Oak Recreation area (2 laps), and the final leg is a 10 kilometer out and back run along the paved road to Liebers Point and an out & back
leg on 1 mile of gravel road. Course maps are available on the home page. The Super
Sprint Race will be all within Liebers Point starting with a 200 meter. swim from the beach. Bike course will be 4 miles out and back on West Branched Oak Rd. The 1 mile run course will make a loop around roadway counterclockwise to finish line west of
transition area.
Team competition consists of three members, each participating in one segment of the triathlon. Mixed teams must consist of at least one female. Teams are determined by combining the ages of all three team members. If any leg in the team competition does not finish, either or both remaining team members may complete the remaining portion BUT WILL NOT BE ELIGIBLE FOR AWARDS. A wave start will be implemented by age groups depending on the numbers, approx. 60 to 75 per wave) Order of waves will be posted on website the week before the event date, starting with the Championship heat and then the youngest to oldest age groups possibly combined together followed by the last wave of Teams competitors and newbies.
CHAMPIONSHIP HEAT:
The Championship heat is for males and females competing for the overall Championship. Individuals in this heat ?(minimum 10 individuals) will compete for the top three medal spots in this heat (male & female) a Last Blast Lincoln Triathlon Championship trophy and $100 gift certificate. Entries in this heat are NOT eligible for age group awards.
NOTE:
Swim course may be altered due to water and/or weather conditions in a manner that will not conflict with other ongoing lake activities. If conditions cause a cancellation of the swim the format will be a 5K 26.5mi. 5K, and a 1 mile 4 mile 1 mile Duathlon.
TEAM ROSTER:
If entering a team division, the TEAM ROSTER/WAIVER form must be fully completed and signed by each team member (or by parent/guardian, if a minor).
RULES:
USA Triathlon rules will apply. Check out the most commonly violated rules on the Links listed on the website. Drafting penalties will be enforced. All cyclists must wear an ANSI/SNELL/CPSC/USDOT approved hard-shell bike helmet. USAT Wet suits rules will apply. Center line rule will be strictly enforced.
PARKING, CAMPING & PARK PERMIT INFORMATION:
Athletes will Park in the Middle Creek Campground Area 4. You will then walk your bikes and equipment to the Transition Area. Equipment can be dropped off at the entrance to Liebers Point Transition area no later than 7:15am. All vehicles must park in Area 4.
