2012 Tri TheTrails Off Road Triathlon:
This will be the second running of the “Tri the Trails” “sprint” “off road” triathlon. The course is situated on the “greenbelt” between Palmer and Wasilla AK, right close to where the Glenn and Parks Highways split. The swim will take place in the Matanuska Lake, the bike and run will take place on the trail system. The course is all off road and a good mountain bike will be required.

The race will start at the Matanuska Lake State Park.
This is at mile 39.1 of the Glenn Hwy.
It is a little difficult to see the road entering the park.
It is between the Glenn Hwy and Parks Hwy seperation on the north side of the road.
