The MultiSport Advantage's Why Not Tri Youth Triathlon will be held entirely within Amazon Park and Pool in Eugene, Oregon. The event is for kids from 6 to 16 years of age with the objective of encouraging youth participation and achievement while promoting a healthy lifestyle through the sport of triathlon. This is a USA Triathlon (USAT) sanctioned race.
Youth Divisions:
Junior (6-8 years): 50y swim, 2 mile bike, 500y run * kick boards and other flotation aids will be available for this age group *
Intermediate (9-12 years): 150y swim, 4 mile bike, 1 mile run
Senior(13--16 years): 300y swim, 7 mile bike, 2 mile run
Awards:
Awards will be done by age, not division. For example, if your athlete is 6 years old, they will be competing against only other 6 year olds, not the division of 6-8 year olds. Also, every participant will be given a finisher medal.
Course Information:
Course maps will be available shortly for the bike and the run. All running and biking will be on closed roads
and within the park area.
