The BRATS Youth Salute To The Military Triathlon is an event for all youth 14 and under and honors our military personnel and veterans.
The youth race takes place right after the Sprint Triathlon which makes for a great family event and a chance for the youth to take part in the sport of triathlon.
The event is held in the community of Vint Hill, VA (just 10 minutes from Jiffy Lube Pavilion) where there is very little traffic.
Great awards, medals to all finishers and a flat course make this event one not to miss. Youth distance are determined by age groups.
Benefits Wounded Warriors and SPARK (Prince William County School's Educational Foundation).

SWIM: distance: 7-10 Yr olds: 50 meters; 11-14 Yr Olds: 100 meters
The race starts with a pool swim in the Vint Hill Larry Weeks Outdoor Pool. Participants will start in time trial fashion, with the fastest swimmers beginning first. Racers start times will be determined by your estimated swim finish time.
BIKE: distance: 7-10 Yr Olds: 2.1 miles; 11-14 Yr olds: 3.2 miles
Within the community of Vint Hill with little to no traffic. Flat course.
RUN: distance: 7-10 Yr olds: .81 mile; 11-14 Yr olds: 1.35 miles
The run is very flat for all ages and abilities

AWARDS: Awards will be given to the following winners:
- Top 3 Overall M/F 7-10 Yr Old and 11-14 Yr Olds
- Top 3 Age Group M/F
Age Groups: 7-8, 9-10, 11-12, 13-14
T-SHIRTS: T-shirts are guaranteed for all athletes registered by May 14th
