This is the third year for the Healthy Habits Youth Triathlon Series in Southern Maine.
The Sanford Triathlon is the second in our three race series. The Biddeford Aquathlon is on Sunday, July 15th and the Freeport Triathlon is on Sunday September 16th.
The distances in all of our races are USAT-Age Appropriate.
Sanford Distances:
5-6 years: Swim 25 yards (0.5 laps), Bike 0.6 miles, Run 0.75 miles
7-8 years: Swim 75 yards (1.5 laps), Bike 1.2 miles, Run 0.75 miles
9-10 years: Swim 125 yards(2.5 laps), Bike 1.5 miles, Run 0.75 miles
11-12 years: Swim 175 yards(3.5 laps), Bike 2.6 miles, Run 1.5 miles
13-15 years: Swim 225 yards(4.5 laps), Bike 4.5 miles, Run 2.2 miles
All Participants receive a t-shirt and we give finisher medals along 1st, 2nd and 3rd place medals for each age group and both genders.

The swim is held in the Sanford-Springvale YMCA's 25 yard, 6 lane pool,
The bike course is a loop on a combination of paved, 8 foot-wide trails and the parking lot of Sanford High School. (The 5-6 and 7-8 year age groups never leave the paved trail.)
The run course is a 0.75 mile wooded trail loop that is on the YMCA campus.

Directions:
|
From I-95 Northbound:
Take exit 19, take a right off the exit onto Route 109 towards Sanford.
Travel 12 miles to the intersection of Routes 109 and 202.
Turn right onto Route 202 and travel 0.3 mile to the next set of lights.
Turn left onto River Street
Travel 1.5 miles to the YMCA, which will be on your left
From I-95 Southbound:
Take exit 32 and turn right onto Route 111 (Alfred Road)
Travel 14 miles to Shaws Ridge Road (there is a traffic light and a John Deere Dealer)
Turn right onto Swas Ridge Road and travel to the next traffic light at River Street
Turn Left onto River Street
Travel 0.25 miles to the YMCA, which will be on your right
