Race Date: May 12, 2012
Distances: 800 meter swim (about 1/2 mile); 30km bike (18.6 miles);5km run (3.1 miles)
Awards: Male/Female - Overall, overall masters, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60 +, and relays (all awards must be claimed on race day)
Pre-race info
USAT Sanctioned Event- Each participant must either be a USAT member or purchase a one day USAT license for $10. USAT members must present USAT identification on race morning. All USAT rules apply.
Packet Pick-Up: Will be held at Go Physical Therapy in Baton Rouge Friday May 11th from 4-7pm . Sorry, no refunds. Swim waves to be announced at packet pick-up.
Race day packet pickup will be from 6:30am -7:30am
Accommodations: Call Greater Pointe Coupée Chamber of Commerce at 225/638-3500. Call early since accommodations are limited and fill fast.
This race will not be rescheduled. The cancellation of this event is at the discretion of race directors and USAT officials. The race will start during light rain. Cancellation will occur if thunder or lightning is present in the area. We will do everything in our power to allow the event to take place, but we will not compromise your safety.
Race Day
There will be NO race day registration this year.
The start and finish sites are two separate locations to allow for finish activities to take place at the Point Coupee Recreation Center. Shuttle service will be available after the race to bring participants from the finish back to the start area.
Packet Pick-up will be open from 5:30am-7:30am race day.
Transition area and body marking opens at 5:30am. Bike racks will be assigned according to your race number.
Race starts promptly at 8:00am
Please Don't Park on Main Street
There will be plenty of parking available to participants and spectators, New Roads policemen will be enforcing parking arrangements and directing traffic.
