We will be hosting a special guest this year - Jenn Sommerman, triathlete advocate for the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund. An ovarian cancer survivor, Jenn, currently 46, is raising $100,000 for the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund by participating in 50 triathlons in all 50 states by the time she is 50 years old; all while holding down a full-time job. Jenn was featured in the "Triathlete Spotlight" on page 32 of )in the November 2010 issue of TRIATHLETE magazine .
Directions:
Lake Afton Park is located approximately 20 minutes southwest of Wichita, KS. From Wichita, take US Highway 54/400 west to 215th Street West (west edge of Goddard). Go south on 215th Street for three miles to MacArthur Road. Go west on MacArthur for two and a half miles to the west entrance of the park.
