2009 Pokagon State Park Triathlon & Duathlon:
This event is an early season USAT olympic distance triathlon and duathlon held in beautiful Pokagon State Park in the northeast corner of Indiana.
The event is conducted by members of the TriFort Triathletes Team of Fort Wayne, Indiana. |

The 2009 Pokagon State Park Tri/Duathlon is pleased to welcome all participants.
The 1.5 kilometer swim will take place in Lake James (out and back).
You will exit onto the beach, run across the beach up some stairs to a grass transition.
The 40K bike will take you through the park and straight east on rural Indiana county roads for an out and back. You will come back the same way that you went out so you will be able to see your competition during the bike ride.
You will come back through the park to the transition then out for a 10k run inside Pokagon State Park.
Almost all of the run will be a trail run in and around the park then back to the finish line.
The transition area will be secured and no gear will be allowed to leave until all bikes are finished.
All bikes and gear must match athletes race number for removal. If an athlete can not be there to pick up his/her gear, you must make arrangements with Race Director for release of gear.
Triathlon: 1.5k / 40k / 10k
Duathlon: 10k / 40k / 5k
