2012 XTERRA Whitewater Off Road Triathlon:XTERRA Whitewater returns in 2012 to the U.S. National Whitewater Center to put triathletes to the test at the world’s premier outdoor recreation center.
The race includes a two-part 850 meter open water swim, 23 km mountain bike ride, 6.5 km. trail run
XTERRA Whitewater-Triathlon is a USA Triathlon sanctioned event. All participants must be registered with USA Triathlon to participate.

XTERRA Whitewater Triathlon Race Course
Athletes will begin with a two-part 850 meter swim in the Catawba River and the USNWC’s own artificial river system. From there, a transition brings athletes to the mountain biking portion where they will tackle the USNWC trail network for 23 km.Finally, an 6.5 km. run on the brand new East Main trail will complete the event.

From the 485/85 intersection (west of uptown and near the airport), head northward on 485 (toward Statesville). Exit at Exit 12, Moores Chapel Rd. Take a left off of the exit, which will take you around two traffic circles. Take a right on Rhyne Rd., and an immediate left on to Belmeade Dr. Follow Belmeade Dr. for about 1 mile and look for the USNWC entrance on your left. For more information, please call 704.391.3900.
