2009 Opelousas Rotary Sunrise Duathlon:
Welcome to the 13th Annual Opelousas Rotary Sunrise Duathlon which is the 2009 Louisiana Duathlon State Championship.
The duathlon will start and finish at the Opelousas General Hospital Medical Complex and consist of a 2 mile run, followed by a 16 mile bike and finish with another 2 mile run.
The course if perfect for the beginner yet challenging for even the most seasoned veteran. So come to historic Opelousas for great duathlon racing!

Duathlon Race Course:
The first 2 mile run will meander through scenic Indian Hills Subd.
The bike route rolls down Prudhomme Land, to the I-49 Service Road and north to quiet, country roads and back to the transition area.
The second 2 mile run will follow the same route as the first 2 mile run.

Directions:
|
Opelousas General Hospital:
From 1-10 go north on I-49 to Opelousas.
Exit onto Hwy. 190 East(Baton Rouge exit) and drive about .5 mile to the small overpass.
Travel over the overpass and take an immediate right to circle under Hwy. 190.
Then take first left.
Race site is about 1.5 miles on right at Opelousas General Hospital.
Opelousas is in south central Louisiana, 24 miles north of Lafayette, and 70 miles west of Baton Rouge
