2013 Rugged Maniac - North Florida:

Rugged Maniac is a 5K (3.1 mile) obstacle course race that combines the most rugged terrain and burly obstacles to allow those with a sense of adventure to define themselves, then bask in glory at a rocking after party with great bands, good food and plenty of beer!

Each Rugged Maniac features at least twenty obstacles constructed by an experienced crew of licensed contractors.

These arent the pop-up kiddie obstacles youll see at other races. Youll climb over walls up to 12 high, crawl through mud under barbed wire, slide down a 50 water slide, jump over fire, and face many other challenges all while running through a combination of forests, fields, motocross tracks and ski slopes!

Unlike other races, we wont run you around a golf course or parking lot and proclaim it rugged.

We wont make you wait in ridiculous lines mid-course and pretend youve been challenged.

Instead, we offer a truly challenging and well-organized course that beats all others.

Rugged Maniac will be hosting a 5k mud run on February 16, 2013 at Waldo Motorsports in Waldo, Florida.

The course is flat and fast but contains 25+ obstacles including cargo climbs, fire pits, barbed wire, and of course mud pits!

Less experienced mud runners will be challenged to reach the finish line, while those looking to truly conquer the Rugged Maniac will be encouraged to run in the elite heat and race for the fastest time possible!

The fun wont stop at the finish line though, as our post-race festival area will feature live bands, food, and of course plenty of beer!

There will also be a mechanical bull, tug-of-war mud pit, and inflatable obstacle course for the mini-maniacs!

Registration for the race can be done online on our website at www.ruggedmaniac.com and racers can use the code RuggedEvent during the registration process to receive a 10% discount.
